Family

In writing this blog today I wanted to stop and thank the Lord for all the blessings he has given me over the years.  I have been blessed with a wonderful husband/best friend.  He is my world.  I have also been given the blessings of three wonderful children.  They make me laugh, cry and strive to make the world a better place for them.  The innocence they have is so precious and I hold it very dear and special.  Seeing the world as they do is just to cool sometimes and makes me even more proud that they are my children!

My family is the best.  I was blessed with a large family.  My Nannie got her angel wings five years ago and we miss her dearly.  She was the glue that kept us all together.  We are all getting older and setting traditions for our own familys, but we still come together on the holidays.

I cherish the family gatherings and hope that my children will some day look forward to them as I always have.  We must also remember the reason for the Christmas season and praise Him for giving us His only son.

Though we do not know what the future will hold for all of us in the coming year one thing that will always stay the same is our love for our Savior, Jesus Christ.  Keep him close to your heart and stay forever focused on his word.

We all have our own traditions, and I am trying to create a few for my children.  The way that their eyes lite up is just priceless.  These are the things that our children never forget and hopefully will pass on to their children.  Getting ice cream and looking at Christmas lights, making Christmas cookies together, decorating the tree.  These simple things they will always remember.  Each year my kids get two children off of the Angel Tree and we buy gifts for them.  My kids have so much fun picking out the presents, and I also try to stress to my children that there is so many children out that don't even have a new pair of socks.  They understand this and we always want to do more.

So I hope everyone cherishes every momemt of every day we have with our families and take nothing for granted.  It is a big world out there and we are all small pieces of the puzzle, lets make the most of our journey through life.  Let us all leave our marks and be thankful for what we have.  In the words of little Tiny Tim, God Bless us, Everyone!

Denver Broncos

Ok as you all know, I am a huge football fan.  I just can't get enough.  I am sad that the season is coming to a close.  The Heisman will be handed out this weekend and the bowl games will begin.  My beloved Sooners didn't do so well this year, but I am pumped about their bowl game.  Oklahoma vs Stanford.  I am a big Toby Gerheart fan so I am excited for both teams.  Especially if Toby wins this weekend at the Heisman ceremony.

Speaking of Stanford, as most of you know I am also a Denver Broncos fan.  My favorite quarterback, John Elway, is a Stanford alum.  So once again I have to root for both teams, so I win either way, yeah!!

I am also thinking of the snow fall that is pounding the midwest this week.  For some strange reason I would love to go to a football game that looked something like this

I'm just sayin........

BTW, sorry I haven't posted in awhile.  It has been crazy, hopefully I can post some new wreaths this weekend that are in the making and Julie if you are reading this blog......I love you aunt JUJU see you at Christmas.

Have a good week!
